Our Story
The Local Refillery was initially formed in 2019 based on mutual friendships developed at St. Augustine's cherished farmer's market at the amphitheatre. Diane, the owner of a local plant-based business, held the vision that she wanted to rent a shelf in local companies to share her products with the community. Rather than renting a shelf in a few small businesses, she and the owners of Cultivate Tea and Spice Co., Peace in a Nutshell, & ThirdWave Coffee decided to bring a joint venture to life. Collectively, they decided to combine their products to create a local storefront on W. King Street with the shared vision to provide organic, hand-crafted, plant-based products in a sustainable and eco-friendly way. As a result, consumers can find organic teas, spices, bulk goods, chemical-free personal care items, and hemp-based products throughout the store. In addition, The Local Refillery is honored to be able to pay it forward by renting shelf space to local businesses and artists to support their like-minded ventures.
Fast-forward to today. The Local Refillery has expanded to its second location and adopted the mindset that it is more than just a storefront but a treasured local experience where guests are like family. Everyone who visits is encouraged to enjoy one of the hand-crafted drinks from their Botanical Beverage Bar and stay awhile, whether on the back patio, front porch, or in the Green Room.
The Local Refillery is a testament to the power of friendship and community support. It carries products from over 25 local companies and artists, creating an amazing concept where locals support locals.

We believe in providing locally sourced ingredients whenever possible as you are sure to find them sprinkled throughout our store and at our beverage bar. We also place a strong focus on sourcing organic, hand-crafted ingredients and products because we know when you feed your body with quality ingredients you are sure to enjoy a higher quality of life.
